Today we lost a truly great person, Mary Travers, who, for 50 years, was part of Peter, Paul, and Mary. Mary stood for peace, for freedom, for equality, for education, and left this world a far, far better place than when she entered it. Thank you for all the wonderful memories and for being a role model for so many of us who will keep the light, that you have lit, burning.

There is often more power in a well-written, well-spun and well-sung lyric than there is in any speech or written article.
ReplyDeleteAnd there is no question that Peter, Paul and Mary were masters of the art. And what they had to say through music is still very relevant today.
